Royal Brush is very excited to introduce a brand new line or brushes, ideal for the paint your own pottery market. Introducing, Menta Pottery Brushes! This line of 32 shapes and sizes have acrylic handles so they won't swell, crack and peel when left in water. All of the hair is soft synthetic for durability over natural hair, and the softness allows glazes to flow on better, resulting in less streaks and happier customers. This line is very similar to the Zen watercolor series of brushes we offered several years back. But, we discovered the special coating on those Zen handles flaked off over time. Menta handles are solid acrylic, with no coating! So we have no concerns about any flaking.
The mop brushes in this new line is unlike any other mop brushes. They look like traditional soft goat hair. But they are actually a new synthetic we've developed, and they are silky smooth and are great for large area coverage. Traditional goat mop brushes can clump color, and they tend to shed hair. You won't get that with this new synthetic. And unlike the popular fan brushes studios currently use for large area coverage, the ferrules on these don't have the domed shape, so there's no chance of customers pressing so hard they cut the hair like they can do with fans. Don't discard fans quite yet. It's going to take some time to get studio owners used to these new mops. Change can be hard, but we plan to do a lot of promotion and training.
And, to make this line better, each assortment of 120 brushes comes with a new brush care and storage tray. Many studios place brushes upright to dry, and this is bad for brushes. Our new plastic tray has three compartments that are sloped slightly so the water drains away from the brushes hair, and through openings that drain into the lid that works as a catch basin for the water. Dump the water from the lid, place snapping lid on the tray and they are ready for storage or transport to the next event.
